Lake County Entrepreneurs Club

The next Lake County Entrepreneurs Club meeting will be held on Aug 27, 2008. Mr. Steve Millard, President and Executive Director of The Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) will be our guest speaker.

COSE is one of the largest regional small business organizations in the United States. It serves more than 17,000 small business members in Northeastern Ohio. COSE provides Federal, State, and local advocacy, unique small business owner education, and peer assistance, as well as group purchased benefits in over eleven different product areas.

Steve's work has been recognized in a number of ways, including being named as Crain's Cleveland Business "Forty under Forty" winner in 2000. Please come to hear the COSE story, and the myriad of offerings COSE brings to the table.

The luncheon meeting will be held at LaMalfa's, 5783 Heisley Rd., Mentor, OH 44060, 11:30 to 1:00. The time will be 11:30am to 1:00pm. The cost is $19 per person, preregistered, and $20 at the door.

The July 30, 2008 speaker for Lake County Entrepreneurs Club will be Mr. Kip Marlow, former President of Marlow Surgical Technologies, and now President of The Entrepreneurs Club of America. Mr. Marlow will speak on his experiences, and lessons learned while operating Marlow Surgical Technologies. He will also talk at length about The Entrepreneurs Club and what it means to small business owners everywhere.

Mr. Tom Anderson, former executive producer of the hit TV shows Cheers, Living Single, and the Jeff Foxworthy Show, will speak at the club's luncheon Wednesday, August 15. Tom Anderson left Lake County after graduating from Willoughby South High School with only his dreams and came back a very successful businessman.
